Conference
That first year, we had more than 200 teachers attend, which is considered a success. We have continued to grow and expand. And this year, the schedule works in our favor where there is a week break from when school closes and when summer school begins. This gives us a unique opportunity to appeal to individuals that may not have been able to attend in the past. Also, embracing technology has a natural thought in the classroom and not a "have to" allowed a bit of a revamp to the name. This year it will be called the CPS Innovative Practices Conference with a highly sought out keynote speaker. The concept revolves around practices that enhance students skills of creating, collaborating, communicating and critical thinking.
The initial concept of this conference is still there, however, it will keep growing and expanding to meet the needs of the teachers and others that are in the education field. The idea to explore in a non-threatening manner is key to practicing and improving abilities that enable me to continue to make improvements to this conference.
